Wow excellent condition!! Looks like a police package but it’s not. Very rare because the civilian versions usually had gaudy trim, wheels, and half vinyl roofs

I had one just like this but vinyl top and a little rougher came out of Memphis TN the electrics where jacked from a ghetto sound system install but I loved it. So smooth. Had tinted windows. I usually had a s&w model 28 6” barreled revolver with me when out and about and for an early 20 year old I thought I was. THE SH!T. Lol I want another one but that was 2004 now it’s so old it’s not worth it unless your a mechanic
@CLASSICSAREBETTER3 жыл бұрын
Haha dude that's a big ass revolver lol, I love it. Yea you have to find a good one, maintaining one is cool, but restoring one would be more trouble than it's worth unless its sentimental or something.

Glad to see I’m not the only one trying to keep one of these alive! I’ve gotta pick my project back up. Hoping to save up some money and break ground again before spring. Drove mine 300 miles back home from where I got it. Did fine! Only after I got it back did it start acting funny. Put a new set of spark plugs in it, changed the oil, the tune up necessities. It’s a breeze working on these old things and I absolutely love it. Hopefully by summer I can get the mechanical issues needing attention fixed. Got some gaskets to replace, needs a new fuel pump, and fix the alignment. but she’ll still run if you’re patient. Even as much of a beater as she is right now, she still gets looks. Feels great to own what is now like a piece of history. You just don’t see them anymore!

This is exactly the first car I ever bought. Not the first car ever had. My mom bought me a 1990s Ford Taurus station wagon. I hated that thing but when I was 18 years old I saved up my money and I used to drive by this used car lot and the guy had this exact. It was black with the vinyl top. The blue interior 89 LTD. Just like this one except it was a little bit rougher condition. Obviously bought it for $1,000. Had some electronic issues cuz the guy before me try to put in a system and kind of f***** up the electrics but once I got that resolved I love that car man it was great. I wish I'd never sold it. I sold it to a buddy because I had another vehicle at the time and rarely drove it anymore and I didn't really appreciate it cuz I was like 21 years old but looking back on it god I wish I had kept it. Sounds crazy but if I ever win the lottery I'm going to buy one just like this. Might even buy this one
@CLASSICSAREBETTER Жыл бұрын
Dude that was an awesome story to share, thank you. I really dug that car, to me it's the MIB car lol, but you can't beat those old cushy interiors. Far as the '90 Taurus, I feel ya, my first one was my grandma's '91 Accord. Hope you find a nice LTD hid away somewhere one day!
