This was a sign of things to come for the Huskies. Everybody knew we were about to have a great run after this game. The excitement going into 1990 was immense.

I was on my first xmas break as a newly hired Aerospace worker, 8 months out of the Navy and enjoying a recliner, beer and my first break of greater than 8 days since High School. I had not seen a Huskies game since 1984 and all I heard pre game was "Emmitt Smith" this, that and superhero. I remember watching this and thinking the Huskies were deep and this could really work out for them. Both the Gators and Dallas Cowboys were lucky the 90 or 91 UW team didn't show up to this game because it might have ruined Emmitt Smith.

Be fortunate the 1996, 2006, or 2008 Florida team wasn't there lolol.. Just kidding. I would have loved to see the 96 Gators vs the 91 U dub team 😮. It would have been a classic.
