This is exactly what timeless beauty looks like. I'm old enough to remember when these were new. I remember as a kid in the 80's, there was two guys who had this, who went to the same church I went to. One had the gas version, and the other the diesel. I hope to be able to buy one some day. Worked at a Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, VW dealer in NJ back in 1985-6 as a gopher and car washer. Got to drive a lot of cool cars and these were always a great ride. So big and really luxurious. You really can’t compare them against the new Mercedes. Almost bought a 500 SEL back in 2005 but wife hated the “old man” car so bought a 635CSi instead…..which she still hated. Enjoy this car. The burgundy interior is the best in my view. You now need the matching 560SL
