Woweeee this is a huuuuuuge episode!
Damien Hardwick, a 3-time premiership coach with the Tiges is one of the great coaches of the modern era. They honestly don't come much bigger than this!
We covered so much in this episode, from the turning point in 2016 through to his mindset around stepping down just this year, this bloke is genuinely impressive.
Thanks for the continued support fam, it means the world! xx

This was brilliant. He’s a smart kid Dylan Buckley, the questions he asked really made that interview. Intriguing person Dimma. Really enjoyed that. Well done 👏

As a Tigers fan, Dimma's time was up at Richmond. I know a lot of Tigers fans don't want to hear this, but after 14 years as coach he looked cooked and burn't out all year and the team was stale and playing that way. Losing so many close games over the last 2 years was proof that Dimma & the team had lost their edge. So he made the right decision for himself and for the team and that's a credit to him. Thank you for everything you did for us and forever a Tigers legend.🌈👋

As a dockers fan I appreciate it, coaches hold on to long he probably should have done it before or at seasons end

Dimma was awesome because he always showed his emotion especially his anger in press conferences. Its good seeing ppl show whats real and letting it out. I hate robots and fans dont wanna hear robotic answers after bad losses. Ken hinkley comes to mind. Over the years after losses hes just trotted out the same crap and sounded too upbeat. Loved dimma, ross, malthouse, clarko etc...all great coaches who were real people and would snap at reporters. Gold!

Gotta love him. He did the best at Richmond. Let it go now. New leader Mcqualter one hopes. Dimma deserves success. Thank you Dimma for everything you did for the tigers. Wish you well in your adventures.

Thanks so much. It was fantastic to hear from Dimma. I could have listened to a lot more, especially about the transition of players from great to brilliant but I get that he’s more about systems, processes and the collective team. Please give that poor plant behind Dimma a drink 🪴

Dylan, you seem like a person who wants to/dreams of, keeping it real. How about having someone on that never played afl, vfl, never played a final, only got paid $5 to play....... but wondered what it would be like to be loved or hated at the highest level? Congrats on the kid, if you love them (kids), you'll have at least five I reckon.

Would be good to timestamp the different aspects of the podcast. Makes it more efficient for viewers but also helps you assess what aspects of the conversation resonates with listeners.

I never liked hardwick. I thought he was a dirty player, changed clubs, and is a Virgo (the 3rd most distrustful zodiac sign). .... It's been 13/15 years now, and had it not been for him, I didn't think I'd see another flag in my life. I started following the tiges in 80 (I think I followed the roos cos all my friends did, coupled with living in Kensington). I was nine years "old".... 37 years later, .... lemme write that again: Thirty seven years..... later, if my maths is correct, I was 52 when I saw my next flag (2017). Tactically, I felt Damien was inept, yet, for some incredible moment, he did what very few have done: coached a group of men and young kids to three winning grand finals in four years...... I reckon 19 and 20 meant more to everyone than 17. Given what the American did to us in 18, ..... I get emotional writing about it. What I'm trying to say is, I was wrong about Damien, and one day, I'd like to tell him. Is that creepy?

He’s a Leo. Not even on the Virgo cusp. A Leo with bad progression has the ability to be a lot less trusting than a Virgo. All signs have virtues and vices obviously but a shitty Leo is terribly dishonest. He seems like a decent bloke though

He needed a break. Have you never heard of that dummy? Having these 6 months off could be life changing. He also thought the players needed a different voice apart from his. That's something Adam Simpson should learn from.
