Hands down the best tutorial video I've seen. Clear views and aspects, helpful tips and thorough instructions. I appreciate you very much bro. Literally about to do this on my 94 Accord EX Wagon. Thank you.

This video was by far the best on the inter web. Great job on showing the whole process especially the removal of the rotor. Before watching this video I was getting worried we would never be able to get the rotor assembly off but with your suggestion of using the 4 bolts and air hammer it cam right off. Brilliant instruction and excellent video. All in all your video saved me a lot of money and aggravation. Thanks so much.

Again, part two covered everything and with all the proper procedures. The only, and I mean only, error I saw was to reposition the piston boots after collapsing the piston so they would not be pinched by the inner pad. Also, the problem with using antiseize grease is that it is petroleum based and this can do harm to rubber. Always use silicon paste anywhere on a brake system. Still, the best video on this subject on the web. SMA would be proud.

181 ft. lbs. Cool. I have owned seven 1989 Honda accords since 1994. Bought a 97 last year and here we are. Great instructional video for this rather long surgery. Thanks.

Thank you for making such a detailed video. I need to replace the rotors and pads on my mom's 1997 Accord and wasn't sure how to do it correctly. I took notes while you worked. Very well done, thanks again.

Getting the lower control stud into the lower control arm (6:20), if the stud doesn't reach the control arm hole does that mean the axel isn't flush with the rotor?

I was wondering if it is possible to rotate the disc rotor in case of pedal pulsating due to DTV, on car if you unscrew the 4 rotor bolts and rotate?

Thanks for the vid. it was very informative. I will be using this as a reference on my 97' Accord. When you lift up and swing out the knuckle assembly from the ball joint, did you also detach the joint from the tie-rod? Thanks again.
@Bushougoma5 жыл бұрын
No you can leave the tie rod attached.

Thanks to this video this process will be $300 max instead of $500+ and a need for an auto brake leith. Also, where can one find the Anti-Rattle clips for this model, all I can find are ones that look similar for 2000s and up models. TIA

+Demon Child Just ask for a brake hardware kit for the front all of the clips come with it. Numerous aftermarket manufacturers make them.

Hi, my question today is, when do I know that I need to replacement the captive rotor? Thanks.
@Bushougoma8 жыл бұрын
Ideally they should always be machined (or replaced) to restore a flat surface for the new pads to break onto. Rotors are so cheap nowadays it doesn't pay to remove them, machine them, and reinstall them unless you have an on vehicle brake lathe.
@jorgemcaldas8 жыл бұрын
Good, do you know why, when I press the break pedal, after I start engine, the ABS light goes on and doesn't turn off only after I turn off engine???? I like so much watch your videos because you care about everything you do... I am not mecanic but I want learn how fix my accord 95 because I like care about it. Thank you.

Great videos, both part 1 and part 2. One suggestion, use the "speed up" video editing tool more often - you did in some parts but could've used it a lot more.

***** Stop wasting your brake cleaner...just clean once, after everything is assembled. ***** Throw out these hubs and get yourself the 98-99 Acura CL 4cyl hub ($150) and rotor set, bolts right on and uses same calipers.
