l love the boxy look with the plastic floor mate and a bench seat. it is what a pickup truck is about! now they have all kinds of computer operated systems in them, and leather seats and a butt heater and a little dial as the gearshift. and they have that curvy looking body. it is almost like your pickup is trying to be your wife's sports car.

just save your money and get a job and you'll have enough money for it altogether or a down payment in about a year. thats what i did i bought a 2000 f250 with a 7.3 powerstroke diesel for 5 grand and i had saved 3600 bucks after about 9 months and made a down payment and just paid it the rest of the way off over the next year

I am buying a red 1991 Ford F-150 4.5 liter V6 "Custom" for $1650. It has 118,324 miles and it is rust free with a very nice looking interior. It is also a base model but I like the base models better because the fancy models with power windows, power locks, and all that electronic stuff in them don't age as well as the base models. It has heat, no AC, but it does have vent windows which you can open in the summer time. I also like that this truck, though a base model, has much more information on the odometer cluster than usual (base has the main speed meter along with 4 extra meters and looks just like the one in the video except it doesn't have a RPM meter which I don't feel like is a must have for an automatic transmission truck anyways). This is all located in beautiful Anderson, SC, near Lake Hartwell and the Appalachians!

302 sounds normal, doesn't make any particular racket. Mine wound up quick and smooth as silk, it was faster out of the hole than a Windsor. Excellent engines.

Nice truck - love to see them still original through and through... good for a farm or yard but well overpriced in this scenario. Short wheel base brings the price up a little but the 87s thru 91s in a long wheel base F-150 ....great trucks but not worth that and still dime a dozen. 2800 to 3000 tops. Find an 86 Lariat with less than 100,000 miles on it, in a short wheel base - now you've got something. Anything else - just a good ole work truck.

I wish I had 5 grand to buy this truck. Personally I think 5k is a little too much for a truck that is 25 years old. I had the red and silver striped one. It was sold so I could make rent that month and I hope to soon find another one just like it to buy at first chance. Was left to me by my dad who passed in 2003 and it was the hardest decision to ever make getting rid of that truck. It was either my family on the street or sell the truck. Obviously family is more important. One day...one day.

Ford doesn't have a great reputation for manufacturing high quality window regulators. I'll say this for the company though, their door and window parts quality has been consistent for a long time... consistently mediocre for over 50 years.

This one ran smooth on the highway 70mph. I dont remember the RPMs at that speed but it was fairly low.

@@mikehight3069 I bet they are really really nice because you're bringing are directly into your cab if it's only 75° out with low humidity yes it would be over a hundred degrees in a car sitting if you do not have been Windows your regular Windows would just make noise 75 really doesn't justify air conditioning so you could just open them Vents and bring the nice air directly into your cab I do not know why cars gotten rid of this I wish someone would come up with an aftermarket solution

Sure you can use just one tank however it is recommended to at least alternate tanks to keep the gas from getting old in the unused tank and clogging up the fuel system the next time it is used.

They are cheap to fix though. The problem is taking the door panels off and risk cracking that damn brittle plastic.
