For 1991 the movie star turtles were an amazing feat in action figures. These figures were the most sought out turtles on the shelf. I was lucky enough at the age of 9 when there was a Toys R Us grand opening, it was also my birthday. I got a $100 certificate on top of the grand opening sale and made out like a bandit. I got all 4 turtles, a super soaker 100, and a nintendo game. Best birthday ever.

Fun fact the original 92 TMNT 3 movie figures in the old Japan armor they did the head switch from the original movie star figures, Raph got Miley's old head and Mikey got Leo's old head, while Donnie kept his and Leo got Raphs.

Im one of the lucky sob who got the sdcc figures set...and those figures are so incredibly awesome, that i displayed them the day i got them and im still blown away every time i look at them on my shelf! They will stay on my shelf forever, ill never take them off, they are too beautiful, they are literal perfection! Oh and by the way, Donatello is and always been my favorite! ;)

kryo Boy oh ok! Well im telling you, they are even better than what you think! They have that little something that no other figures has imo. The 1990 movie is one of my all time movie, and ive been dreaming of these figures for years, well since 1990 to be honest. So just like you, i was so pumped when they came out, i couldnt believe how great they looked, and i couldnt wait to get them in hand. But im telling you, even though ive watched dozens of videos before buying them, even if i knew every details about them, nothing could have prepared me from the awesomeness of these figures when i got them in hand! They are perfection, literally! You will fall in love with them, no figures can compare to them imo, and im a big big big collector, i have all kind of high end figures and statues, but these 1990 turtles are a dream come true, they look like they have jumped right out of the movie! You will love them! :) And one little tip, buy 2 sets if you can, one to play with/display and one to keep in box, because the boxes are as beautiful as the figures, they are the 1990 VHS cassette replica just like the SDCC set, so display them as well if you can. You will love the boxes as much as the figures im sure lol

@@jasonvoorheesthethird im crying right now.the only turtle figures i have r the teeny tiny mega blox figs😭.yes the neca ones look like they just stepped off the screen.i used to be a hardcore collector but age got in the way(41 now)and i sold 90% of my collection i only have 4 predators,2 game of thrones figures and a black series boba fett.10year old me is screaming for these turtles.i probably wont get 2 sets as my mrs would freak out i would just be happy to have 1(all of them would be stuff of dreams) i cant stop watching reviews of them cos they r just the best looking figures ive ever seen.only the new batman hush mafex comes close to absolute perfection but neca just killed it with tmnt.👍

I also ordered the neca turtles from GameStop but GameStop decided to screw me over when it came to receiving my tmnt’s so I will never do business with GameStop. I did however find the two packs of tmnt movie figures at Walmart and now my collection is complete so fuck gamestop and thank you Walmart for having those so many years later.

I virtually collect every single kind of action figure. I could totally do away with all of that (fuck Marvel Legends for starters lol) if we could just get NECA to start pumping out TMNT figures at retail/available on their online store. Playmates needs to pull their heads out of their own asses and give them more freedom. I'm really wanting a cartoon Splinter (for starters). Then we can get the movie version; then every single character that appeared in the cartoon and the first 2 movies.

Movie stars ones look horrendous. The shape of turtles is ok. Their skin texture, exaggerated spots look borderline disgusting. It seems like they tried to merge cartoon and movie look, which failed miserably.
