I ran against him in a couple of road races in Missouri. He was the fastest runner i ever run against. Very strong with a incredible stride. I ran the first mile in 4.41 in a half marathon and he was so far ahead of me he was making a turn two blocks up the road. My guess his first mile was 4.20.

What a career moment. If you were ever going to have one moment to pick as a miler it would be winning the dream mile in Oslo in sub 3.50. So awesome.

I think he became only the 12th man to break 3:50 at the time with this race. What a tremendous accomplishment.

Why give away the outcome in the title?

Somehow it doesn't feel the same without David Coleman, but props to the reporter for being metric.

Falcon made Elliott look pretty ordinary...

Elliot won a year later against a very strong line up then, and Elliot didn't look ordinary then!
