I was Group Sales Manager for Shield Motor Group. Your car came from our Head Office branch in Redhill Surrey. I was also responsible for the David Burton saga. Such a beautiful car Jon love the early protons remember them launching at the NEC and also the triple valve coming out We had a proton dealer in our town Gra Mar Motors and we had many around here in Halesowen west mids well done on the hard work you do to keep these cars on the road and just subbed to your channel look forward to following your adventures Daniel

Hi. I am new to this channel, from Malaysia and a big fan of Proton Saga. Fyi, Malaysia never got anything like your car. The specs yes, it is known as Saga 1.5 Istimewa or Special in Malay. But it came only in either silver or metallic green and in automatic only. When Saga had a minor change in 1990 with 12 valve engine, the colours were changed to a different silver and a metallic maroon. Never this Majorca black (except I think possibly for the 5 door Aeroback edition known as Knight ). Malaysia never received fuel injected engines for Saga (only a limited 2,500 units of Iswara called CARES or Clean Air Regulated Emission System). Of course we didn't get heater since there is no winter in Malaysia. Neither was sunroof. But the rumble strip (or lower door garnish) was a standard factory fit item even for Malaysia. Ever visited Malaysia? Should.you come, I will take you around. Do let me know. Its only 13 hours flying, that is if its a direct flight. Cheers.😊

Or we could try to finding any parts you could not source in UK. We could also visit some Proton showrooms, perhaps the headquarters office. You could tour alone if you want, I may come along if you want. 🙂
