That seals works fine and instals fine on stock head without grinding of any kind, N6 Andrews cams also! Lightning double spark heads too.

Sounds like to me you are Giving Tatro Machine a Hard time Because you want him to buy one of your Machines . after Year's of watching him Build Bike's I have seen No Problem's with his Work !!! If I did not Live in Georgia I would take ALL OF MY WORK TO Tatro

You're right. I was trying to encourage him to buy a flow bench! But NOT mine! (My machines aren't for sale). Peace out...

I dislike those positive type seals have stuffed a couple myself. Pretty much all stem seals on modern car engines are those other type you describe that have the stop. The also have a more sturdy lip to install them off. Find the type in this video on European cars and Motorcycles in general.

I'm not a fan of those James seals either , I prefer the K-line or crane Teflon seals . Enjoying your videos a lot !! . Often , I just make my own seal drivers.

Sir love your video's .. Can you tell me how much clearance between the valve stem & Guide there should be when I got my head's back from the machine shop the valve were much tighter than your were ? I mean noticeably tighter and while I didn't have to apply any force for the valve to move in and out of the guide there was however much less clearance But if I'm not mistaken I think Comp Cam's make's a guide cutting tool that when used provide's a nice shoulder stop for the PC valve seal's to bottom against .. ..

That is one interesting valve guide seal. It looks like it requires a specifically machined valve guide, where you can push the seal on by hand, have it bottom out correctly so it doesn't distort, and doesn't float free in operation. Is all that possible?

Hey Tatro; I suppose I could do my own homework, but thought I'd ask while here: Did you need a different spring comp. or would the same one for older models work on these as well? Also, I see some guys with a Tatro Machining T-Shirt. Would I be able to order one from somewhere? I appreciate you and like the design, I'd enjoy wearing it, any idea how I can buy a couple?!!?

i use different spring compressors for different heads. no one tool works on everything. still waiting for the shirts. soon tatro

Do you have to worry about burning valves when your valve margin is thin like those racing /high flow valved
@TatroMachine7 жыл бұрын
no, they work and last just fine. you have a better chance of burning a wide seat then a thin one. tatro
