36” industrials never really take off here. I guess it’s all down to the fact that I live in a tropical country where most people prefer ceiling fans that visually look big because of their expectations that bigger fans move more air. That didn’t stop companies from offering 36” industrials though. Take these fans as proof.
These are probably the cutest industrial ceiling fan I’ve ever seen. The large diameter motor & narrow blades give them a chubby look that you don’t see from industrials. They also move a surprisingly large amount of air too! Well the one at the back of the room at least. I suspect the one with the whiter logo has a failed run capacitor which makes it spin backwards & make an awful sound. The normal one is also surprisingly quieter than my 36” CEMC which spins at much higher RPM.

They have to, if small ceiling fans like these don’t perform better than bigger ceiling fans, no one will buy them

The 2nd Sanyo that spins reverse remind in one of 36" CEMC (that painted in Green) in Meatball and Pempek restaurant except the fan doesn't have drinding noise.

0:37 Same thing happened to one of my grandma's GEC Queensaires. Run capacitor developed a short, spilled its oil, and the fan started growling when it turned on (and spun in reverse due to the shorted cap)

That’s unfortunate. Hope you can get it fixed!

Maybe the capacitor is replaceable once they have solved the problem.

Long time no see! This Sanyo ceiling fan is so little cute!!! It's a shame that there are no such cool ceiling fans in South Korea

I’ve been very busy these past few weeks that I’m just unable to make videos. I think I saw someone posting a 36” South Korean industrial ceiling fan awhile back on Facebook, are ceiling fans just that uncommon there?
@Exhaust_fans
@Exhaust_fans Жыл бұрын
@@TheFanUniverse Yes, ceiling fans are not as common in South Korea as in Southeast Asia, the United States, and Canada. Usually, stand fans, desk fans, and wall fans are common in South Korea

Cool! 36” industrials are not at all common in Indonesia. I guess people tend to go for bigger fans because of the climate in here.

This fan was discontinued in the 2000's I believe. The only ways to get one is to find them secondhand or perhaps search for a store which still has them new old stock

interesting sanyo fans! this could be the latest production of the 70s-80s sanyo model produced most likely late 80s or early 90s! the bottom motor cover is just a plastic cover without any metal supports, and no bearing at the bottom as well.. u can remove the bottom motor and use it as a frisbee! the top has 2 bearings on top of each other on the shaft and an aluminum cover the loud hum could be due to loose shaft.. also those sanyos have the lowest value capacitors of any fan ive seen, a value of 1.3 uF

Wow, I never knew that! I thought these just had the standard lower & upper bearing configuration used in all ceiling fans I’ve encountered. I recall seeing the 56” version of this fan at my friend’s restaurant years ago, those were taken down around when I was in 5th grade I believe. Do those have the same motor structure as this thing? I can’t wait to get one & poke my head in it
