If you had one of these, a BMW E24, and a Lincoln Mark VII LSC - all 3 in black - you'd basically have all of the most menacing personal luxury coupes of the 1980s in your garage.

Both first and second generations are among my favorite cars by Toyota! Congratulations to the buyer and you have excellent taste! The styling of the first and second generation is very similar to the two door AE86 as the designer of the Soarer worked on the AE86 as well. In one of the Japanese AE86 magazines there is an interview with him and a comparison between the two styles.

@@alexa5a There are no 4L 6 pot Soarers. The only 4L Soarers are the Lexus crossovers, and they're a 1UZ V8. The only other Toyotas with a 4L motor are the late model 1GR V6 SUVs.And that's pretty much the only 6 pot 2L there is on the planet. Every other 2L is a 4 banger unless you get into F1 stuff. He clearly meant what he said, it's the only thing that makes any sense. 🤣🤣 It was just a slip of the tongue, nobody's perfect.

Love those cars! Nice job guys! Hey question, I have a Gloria and had an alarm system put in. Once that was done the Female Japanese voice prompts stop working.....!!! Any idea how to fix that? It used to announce to buck your seat belt please, and also would announce when you push the toll reader how much money was left on it. Help please! Thanks in advance for your help!
@PacificCoastAuto2 жыл бұрын
The toll box might have been uninstalled when the alarm went in. You would probably want to talk to the shop that did that and see if they can "undo" that. Chances are the toll box tells you the price of the last toll that was charged to your account, not your remaining balance. Toll cards are like credit cards and don't hold a balance. Also, the Japanese you hear when you start the car is probably the toll box stating that there is no card inserted in the toll box.

Amazing how the exact same car hardly age whilst using being used every day (171,503 kms in a country that is not as wide and traffic free as North America or Australia etc) as they were used and maintained properly. While under the ownership of others they find their way to the junkyard/wreckers/breakers in a matter of a few years.

Awsome car ,had one back in the day, pitty the front doors are so heavy that they sag over a few years and need to buy a new special double hinge from Japan which cost rediculous money... such a shame
@PacificCoastAuto2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that hinge system is insane. The next gen Soarer (Lexus SC) had them too. I recall seeing a similar system on a Mercedes Benz door of the era too but I'm not sure the model or who was first. It pulls the door forward of the fender to allow a bit more room to exit- always a problem for two-door coupes with long doors.

Can we get the mitsubishi pajero evolution in the next video
@PacificCoastAuto2 жыл бұрын
Those only start being legal in the USA this upcoming September. We have sold five of them in the last 3 months but all for dealers or individuals that aren't allowing us to post the videos. Unfortunately, the ports in Japan are all really full so we aren't allowing anyone to buy cars early. It seems that cars destined for Russia can't be shipped there right now and they are taking up a bunch of room. USA requires cars to be washed before export and there are only select few holding companies with washing facilities. Give it a few months and I'm sure someone will allow a Pajero Evo on here. They are really cool.
