In the Early to Mid 90,s if you're Foxbody had the B303, Iron GT40,s and 2 Chamber Flowmasters with Long Tubes and H-Pipe, you had a pretty serious Street Car. But when you saw a Trickflow High Port Headed, 351W swapped Vortech Supercharged Foxbody, That was the top of the heap back in those days. I remember putting my Dad's 69 290 hp 351W into my 86 5.0 LX Hatch, in 1995 i believe, Good times back then.

I made 430 h.p. @ 5,700 and 425 torque @ 5,000 with a 306 ,Explrer intake, Performer heads with 1.9 valves, small Lunati cam and a Novi 1220 with 6 psi boost.

Those Powerdynes were Junk, buddy of mine had one on his 5.0 Foxbody, i Remember taking it apart Atleast 2 or 3 times, replacing the Broken Belt inside it all the time, ran great with a 9lb. Pulley, when we put on a smaller 14lb. Pulley, would Smoke the Internal Belt Very Quickly, was a Joke, Worse Centrifugal out there at the time.

revisiting this. No way he made so little on a powerdyne blower. his combo alone is good for about 275rwhp. Maybe he had a plug wire off when dynoed.

what do you mean longer? numerically higher? i would drop down to a 3.27-3.31 pinion. that t5 first gear is 3.27 or 3.35. if he was running a 2.95 first gear 3.55 would be better.

@@angry408w7 @ANGRY 408W longer gear would go down in number. Per say if it he was running a 3.55 he could drop down to a 3.27 to squeeze more top end out. You'd lose low end torque but gain the high end.

Ford was so cheap putting 4 lug on these with drum brakes LOL! Chevy and Pontiac at least put 5 lug and disks on the Camaro and Trans Am. Also you can't put anything better then a 265-275 tire on them without modifying the rear. Stock they ride like a truck and handle like ass. Can't see myself owning another one even though I love the looks of them. Going for the top dog 03-04 Cobra. Now that car was built with some brains behind it.

@@mmjnice97 you might not like it, but the LS is a wonderful feat of engineering. It responds very well to modifications, can take a beating, and most importantly VERY CHEAP to build compared to Ford engines. You can literally build 2 LS engines for the price of a small block Ford....I'VE DONE IT.

@@voodoo1449 no i love the LS engine. But not every car in my opinion needs or should have an ls swap. It just Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.. for example seeing a RX7 swapped in with an LS makes me cringe smh... I love how the rotary engine sounds and the originality.. And for my hearing pleasure nothing sounds better than a old pushrod Ford 5.0 Fox body,, or the new coyote 5.0 ,,,,I love them both and sound amazing 😍.. Much better that the LS.. IT was cool 10 years ago but now it make me yawn to see that swap done..
