It was an intentional hostile takeover by Robert Kraft. Victor Kiam bought the team from the Sullivans but Kraft bought not only the Stadium but the land around it as well. Every dime made in concessions went to his pocket, not Kiam. Kiam had no way to make a profit which is why the team suffered until he sd out to Orthwein who then sold out to Kraft

As a Dolphins fan this is frustrating. If it wasn't for the Bills and Jim Kelly the Dolphins could have gone to the superbowl in the 90's at least twice or three times. And if Marino stayed Healthy who knows what would have happened.

Modern fans have no idea how bad that team was not only on the field but off as well. Dickhead owner, lazy misogynistic players, stadium falling apart....that's why I tell NFL fans saying how spoiled I am to kiss my foot. My dad has a ton of horror stories of how he had to brawl just to get to his car after a loss in the 70's.

Patriots started off okay, but once the locker room incident ( I like Lisa Olsen, I read her The Sporting News articles back when that publication still rocked out) occurred, this team seemed to sleepwalk through the rest of the season. Regardless, the 1990 Patriots weren't going to be a good team (maybe 6-10 at best).
