If you still have a Buick Roadmaster and you're looking to change the rear window lift motor, here is a video to see how the window lift assembly comes out of the door.

I just grinded the ribets with my hand grinder including part of the motor ,it didn't work anyway .easy job.no need to remove the slides all I did was pop out the hands from slide clips with a thick flat head then press them in with pliers .

You actually remove the motor and crank the gear by hand to get to the access hole on the regulator to drill out the rivits and reinstall the new motor and gear assembly with the provided bolts and nuts...

How did you drill out the ribets

I been seeing in forums that some people will actually use a punch to hammer out the center part of the rivet (becuase it's made of very strong steel that's hard to drill through) or they cut the head of the rivet then drill through what's left. What I did because Im a bit limited on tools and it actually kinda worked is I used a small drill bit the drill a pilot hole into both sides of that steel piece that sticks out. Then I got a larger drill bit and drilled into those pilot holes I made. This weakens the steel piece so then I used my flat head screw driver that has a broken tip and hammer the hell outta them until they popped out. Rinse and repeat for the other 3.
