Remember going to the away league game this season as we were after Tim Sherwood about the same time as Rovers and unfortunately they snapped him up. A great Rovers team that went on to win the 1995 PL title with the SAS up front. Shame we could not do the same. And that's from a life long Rams fan.

Went to the old baseball ground in 1990 with City Mark Ward from the penalty spot for us and Dean Saunders with a cracking eqauliser outside the box (Half volley) for the Rams ended a 1-1 Draw MCFC

@@craigmullen9046 I remember going to Maine Road in 1991, the same season, the day we got relegated under Arthur Cox, always remember it as Tony Coton got sent off, Niall Quinn went in goal for you and saved Saunder's penalty. Not a game I like to remember though! Mark Ward was a good winger, after we went down Saunders and Mark Wright went to Liverpool as Robert Maxwell wanted the cash and then about 3 months later he fell off his yacht and drowned. Not exactly a popular guy with Derby fans.

@@timcolder2789 No he wasn't I remember that season the derby fans was singing we want Maxwell out, I said we want Maxwell out. Yes was a season ticket holder in the North Stand opposite you. You would have been in the Platt lane benches to be honest the atmosphere been shit at City since we left Maine road in 2003 what's it like at Derby now I have been to pride park in 2001, Spencer prior was playing for City got a good reception of the Derby faithful as he played for the rams. Ended up a 1-1 Draw.

@@craigmullen9046 I thought Mark Ward scored a few goals for you that season and you finished 5th.in the league. Certainly always rated David White though. He should have had more caps for England. There are not many new stadiums that will have the same atmosphere these days without the terracing. Roker Park, Stamford Bridge and Upton Park were others I remember that were great years ago. Agree Pride Park is lifeless compared to the BBG and I think many Rams fans would agree. Remember the bench seats in '91 and Spencer Prior was a great player for us.

Remember watching these games. Just a shame we screwed up big time in this leg.We had missed out on automatic promotion on the last day of the season at the BBG and never recovered from it. Speedie was a right handfull and with Newell they unfortunately had a good partnership up front. Went to most of our away games that season, record 12 away wins at the time. Great memories until this match!

We did for a season thanks then went straight back up. We have never been in the fourth division though unlike Burnley.
