In retrospective, it makes sense why she never "made it" (i hate that expression) back in the early 10s. No one was doing it like her back then. Just think about the popular songs back then... Nothing was ever remotely close to this sound! She was so ahead of her time, and to think that she was just 19-21 when she came up with all these songs... Not a single artist before or after her will ever match her, and I hope ppl will come to their senses and realize the amazing talent she has.

This song is literally a craft of genius. She snatchd house music from the 90s and refurbished the old rap bits with a modern bk rap. This is the quality you would expect from an art school alumni very much like 2pac and she really delivered. Artists live mentally in two different logical and abstract worlds most of the time but sometimes the stress from one can make a person vacate residency for the other entirely. Artistic genius and sanity tread a fine line.

Last year I found this song , I remember feeling bad that I liked Azealia’s music later onto time I grew to love it . I remember being so shocked to finally listening to music that was different than my usual . Now…. I LISTEN TO HER RELIGIOUSLY LOLL , still remember this being the first Azealia song I listened to . And I found it through a Stan Twitter video which is INTERESTING to think of it now. Very glad & happy ^^

She is living evidence that quality requires intelligence. The lady is clearly educated musically. The influences she uses and the way she blends them and adds her voice to it is simply phenomenal. True.

This is always what I say. Not defending the problematic things she has done but let’s be real if she were white and/or a man she would get so much more leniency and forgiveness than she does. I can’t bring myself to hate her when Chris Brown and Dr. Luke are still out here thriving.
@tinskull81323 жыл бұрын
@@hottieschicken this 100%. people seem to focus in on how nasty she is just because she’s a woman and she’s black it’s a subconscious narrative that society spins. She’s definitely problematic, but as you say, if she was a male rapper people would let it slide. Fascinating and fucked up how people’s perspectives change simply because she’s female. So many male rappers are much more problematic and controversial than her and have literally murdered people and done terrible things, but when azealia makes offensive comments it’s blown out of proportion.
