And then I say to myself hold up, Artists are placed on these platforms in order to distract us from having some real conversations. Why is "showing her personal prejudice" a crime. She may not always articulate her point the best but I can see that she's always striving for new information and is always willing to share with her audience where her mind is at. Especially if you look at examples from 1990s and early 2000s the white gay characters on TV were able to speak on any social group in any way they wanted and the conversation and analysis would never go any deeper than "Oh how amazing to see a gay person on TV" Young white gay men see these portrayals and end up mirroring this behavior.
