Beautiful bike! Before I got paralyzed I had a 1986 Honda XR600R, it was bored out 1 mil, had an aftermarket piston that was 10:1 compression and the carbs were rejetted... It was extremely fast! Back then I lived in Tucson Arizona, that bike was perfect for the high speed desert riding that I did and loved! I called my bike "Clementine"... I had so much fun on that bike! Another great video, thanks for sharing!

I was riding a 1985 Honda 200X, probably going 45-50 MPH and I blacked out from dehydration, when I blacked out I veered off the trail and hit a tree, the front tire hit the trunk and then my head hit the trunk which fractured three vertebrae in my neck (C3 , C4 and C6) and broke one vertebrate (C5 ) into three pieces which pinched my spinal cord leaving me paralyzed from the chest down. That happened May 21 of 2000, man time sure flies!

I had a AL Baker model XR 650l big fin kit ported polished head big bore kit flat side carb bike ripped! Scott Summers was the XR king !

I put a '88 XR600 engine in a Dualsport XR650L frame. Engine never apart. Still daily ridden. The Energizer Bunny of Dirt bikes.

Hi Guys !!! I owned a1995 XR 600 since 1996 in Original Condition ..but the Frame was powdercoating in 2000....the Rest of the Bike absolutely stock HONDA Quality !!! Refurbishing a 96 as of this year just like finding someone to do my engine rebuild got all the parts to go in it. I’m not much of a fix it guy myself but I do have the manual for it everything powder coated ready for engine.big fan of Kaplan cycles the xr600r is by far best bike I’ve ever owned. Had a 99 250r Xr it was bulletproof. Same was my 96 200r Xr . Bring it back Honda what were you guys thinking when you stop producing.
