Quite odd to modernize one of the three already after 8 years, by KONE (M-series) in 1999, but they also fit in pretty well! And no inner doors are needed!

Strange how the Cenia buttons have different numbering font as opposed to the standard font (not sure what kind it was) Cenia would've normally used. I've filmed some old Cenia elevators in Spain with those same buttons but didn't find one with that kind of font.

Is Cenia a rare brand to find in Spain? Back when i uploaded this video i couldn't find much information about that brand at all

To be honest I can't tell. I only found four during my cruise itineraries in Spain, one in Barcelona and three in the Canary Islands. There maybe more Cenia elevators around Spain but the majority of them are probably found in apartment buildings. I also couldn't find any information about this brand and the only thing I got was the fact that the brand was acquired by ThyssenKrupp. Even Wayback Machine doesn't have enough archived pages from Cenia's old website which is a shame. I suspect Cenia merged with Thyssen sometime around the 1990s, as when I was in the Azores Islands, Portugal I found a Cenia elevator branded as Thyssen.

Those two thyssen elevators are a bit odd in the sense that the stop button does not cancel calls. It seems that those floor and ceiling safety devices are not very effective, if you step on the threshold it doesn't activate. You really have to poke deep in there to make it work. I wonder, if freight pellets could ever activate it, photocells seem so much more effective. I mean what's the point of having a threshold switch if it not effective against the most common type of accident. Or where these threshold switches designed with other hazzards in mind, i.e. strings getting caught or pieces of wood getting stuck in there?

Those door safety devices were designed (as you mention) to stop the elevator if something (could be anything small enough) gets stuck between the car door opening and the shaft. The upper safety device is inherently simple because it doesn't have to carry any load. The upper safety device/plate can have a big surface area and simple construction, while the lower safety device can only have a narrow surface combined with stronger springs and a more complex design, so that it doesn't move downwards when something rolls over it (for example a wheelchair or a pallet jack) when the elevator car is being loaded or unloaded. Therefore it takes more force to activate the lower safety device, and thus it seems less efficient. Other innerdoorless designs included early primitive photocells (electric eyes), typically a row of three in the lower ed of the doorframe, while the upper part was uncovered. That was actually the standard in Norway for many years
