Mark Skaife/Gibson Motorsport were barred from bringing their own GT-R's and their cars did not use the ATTESA system. They removed it, which saved weight, cost and complexity. The GT-R's were hit with a 140kg weight penalty, which made them useless around Macau.

In the Guia race, the GT-R's were hobbled by a 140kg weight penalty and no refuelling, which made them very heavy. Facing off against much lighter DTM spec BMW M3's and Mercedes Benz 190E's, they stood no chance at all. Gibson Motorsport were supposedly barred from bringing their GT-R's as well, meaning that Mark Skaife was saddled with a much slower entry. The organisers failed to learn from the changes they made, meaning that there were no incentives for GT-R's to enter the 1992 race and the entry list was lower.

Yeah, plus the aerodynamics of both the 190Es and M3, alongside the 340hp, 940kg-1000kg spec in this Macau guia race is the not just simply the answer, but more of “overkill punch” against the R32s.
