This is the ONLY drum cover that is almost 100% accurate to the original. You've got a couple little snare flutters added in but otherwise it's identical, most others come nowhere near! Most people forget to double the hi-hat time during the chorus, they forget all about it. Or they play the hi-hat and neglect the cymbals. You nailed that part perfectly!

I've watched this probably 20 times over the last few years. I'd never noticed until now the marks on the snare where you hit and I can see when you hit hard with your left you hit in the right mark, but your ghosts are in the left. Then, when you flam or paradiddle or do a snare roll, your hands equally hit each mark. I know this is just muscle memory, but when I was proficient at drums back in the day, I did not have this kind of precision. Bravo, brother!

Colm Dowling Haha! I'd wondered that from the sweat before you'd even started playing. There's 2 other drummers, one called Gerardo Saca who covered a live version of the song and a guy called Xevifoo who do the other best covers in my opinion. I've got a bit of a hard on for Xevifoo's cover tbh, it's quite embarrassing/cringeworthy on my part but it's a phenomenal cover. Bit of trivia for song for the dead you might appreciate btw. Dave Grohl used the drum track for the song Slip It In by Black Flag for the main riff of song for the dead. Maybe call it a homage or something I guess!
