As said by sir, Tamil Nadu lawyers argued in court that only western half of Bangalore lies in Cauvery basin and for the other part of Bangalore cauvery water should not considered for allocation of drinking water. Krishna river basin is minimum 200 km from Chennai , yet Karnataka and Andhra agreed and allocated 20 tmc for drinking water for Chennai under telugu ganga project , atleast one should have minimum gratitude.

Very nice narration about all the incidents about Kaveri river. Kudos to Param for interviewing Mr Chandrashekar. Please ask more questions about politics and how much land they hold in both states. I heard lots of high profile politicians are holding land on Tamilnadu side and want their land and farms houses green and it is actually not related to common man’s water problem. And also ask about why Tamilnadu did not built another dam to store excess water to ocean? Nor did not built desalination plants for drinking water purposes?

In Sangam literature it is mentioned about irrigation of Cauvery water by Tanjavoor provinces...they are using water since from 2000 years ...we started using water only by 200 years...it is common people holding land...they grow three crops a year... For us it is hardly 2 or 1 crop..

Kannadigas are such a wonderful people..but when it comes to cauvery ..their number one enemy is Tamils..from lorry drivers to normal tamils..if there is one incident in tn..there entire ka was on riots..but chennai was normal..the kannada groups..torched more than 50 buses..but those 50 bus drivers was rescued by a kannadiga who smuggled those drivers to tn border ..you can easily identify tamils in ka..but more than 30 percent of tn population are kannadigas..which karnataka people never understand..that politicians create these issues..

@@SURAJ-cv8nt Mostly from North Karnataka, Manglore, Udupi,Hassan ..they are settled long time ago..if there is a hotel in Tamil Nadu some 20 yes back..it's only Udupi hotels..they ruled the entire hotel industry..in Nilgiris..they are called as voggaligas or badugas..unlike tamils in banglore who migrated when banglore was under Madras presidency.kannadigas have long history who settled long back..others in border areas like krishnagiri, hosur, thalavadi..in chennai kannadigas are third largest population next to telugus..in chennai we have a place called kannadapalya..and lot of town names in tn ends with Halli..even though most Udupi hotels are closed..most of the sweet stalls are owned by Hasan people in tn..I studied high school in karnataka Sangha school in chennai bro.. we study kannada history and literature in school..most of them are fourth or fifth generation.

Most of the Cauvery river is formed over a long distance starting from talacauvery, really it is the catchment area, we should protect our forests, the water from from mountains, the politicians and builders must not destroy the forests and then there will be no rains and may become a desert, river means the entire karnataka state, if karnataka is green all people will get water, cauvery will flow forever. Katurirangan report should be followed. Kalamadhya should do interview of Kasturirangan, it will be great
