Every time I watch this, I feel a cringe in my stomach for how hard this is for him. I can't ever watch him sing this song without crying myself. I don't know how he had the strength and courage to do this when he was in so much pain from Freddie's recent death.

Brian did such an awesome job handling this technical problem while in the middle of his exceptional performance. He never missed a beat. He improvised and “the show must go on”. You could see his struggle it was real. He fiercely took on the challenge and made it work for him and did a magnificent job! He was asking for help with the sound and wasn’t getting it. Brian, you are a real hero and a Legend. Kudos for making it work!!

I felt so bad for Brian here! They gave him NO background singing voices OR background music sound!!! ZERO SUPPORT IN A STRANGE PLACE! NOT familiar with their set up! ETC! So many reasons more! FOR GOD'S Sake!! HE overcame it anyway as Brian WOULD! HE STILL did a beautiful...even perfect job. He is unable to do anything but great *even when they screwed up, He improvised!!* He rose above IT! LOVE YOU, Brian...That was brilliant and outstanding. I am also so very touched by this song...Took my heart way. We are all relating to it! WOW, it is strong!

@@normatible9795 THE Back up singers did not sing! And thereby the harmony was not present... threw him off. That is why I felt bad for him. He said "C'mon guys give me the "voice". ""Help me here." DID you see the video? I mean...he gave up asking them to do what they should be...and did it himself anyway. And held his own and did beautiful. If there was a rehearsal...and the back up singing was arranged for and rehearsed? Then, when the performance happened...they screwed up? Or no rehearsal...either way...they were supposed to have back up for him!

Hi, Brian was upset because his mic wasn't loud enough. He in fact had to ask 5 times during performing to raise the volume. At the end of the song, the presenter made his apologies to Brian for the problems, and complimented him.

Instead of turning up the mic level on his monitor, which he was asking for so he could hear himself they kept increasing his echo, at about 1:48 the echo stops dead then at 3:12 his pre-recorded double track comes in way too loud and miss timed so the harmony effect is lost and at 3:21 they don't fade out the double track properly (Sounds like they accidently fade the live vocal instead) so pre-recorded Brian can be heard in the background singing "again" while live Brian sings WHY .

Anzi mi fa male dirlo, ma se dobbiamo parlare da un punto di vista prettamente tecnico, forse è più bravo di Freddie Mercury a cantare.. Nei Queen sicuramente non è il massimo, ma avrebbe fatto i numeri in un gruppo come i Gun's.. L'altro passaggio è che Eric Clapton è un icona, ma non ti credere che sia un mostro di Tecnica, come non lo era Jimy Hendrix, Brian May è un filino più bravo.. La differenza, sta nel fatto che May non lo conosceremmo se non fosse stato per i Queen
