Loudest college football crowd ever recorded. The old Husky Stadium was a special place. Thanks for the upload!

19:35 was probably the worst call in the history of CFB and I’m a dawg fan haha, no way in hell did he even come close to catching that ball. In fact I don’t even think the ball even touched his hands it bounced right off his forearms

Atrocious call. I remember this one well. I became a Husker fan in 87 and that missed call still hurts.

neutral fan here. That ref was paid off. (ha). That other little catch before that on the sideline wasn't a catch either.

I was about to say, that’s a very loose definition of a catch. I’m a husky too

Washington was better, but that call probably kept this from being a pretty close game in the second half. Nebraska’s D vastly improved from the previous year

It's puzzling to me that this 1992 team that was coming off of a national championship season, with a team that is 90% intact from 1991 is not nearly as good or dominating! Really the only signficant thing missing from that great defense is Steve Emtman! Some argue that the 1990 team was better than the 91 team, but they got tripped up by a mediocre UCLA team (I'll never forget that day) and it cost us a national championship. But the 91 team was loaded to the gills from the 90 team and took care of unfinished business. The same thing should have been the case in 1992! What happened here?? Realistically The Huskies could have, and should have, had a 3-peat!

Maybe we could have been a four peat in 1989 right in the middle of the 1989 season Jim Lambright changes the Husky defense to the epic eight man front and since then they went undefeated killing Florida gators in the 1989 gator bowl with Emmitt Smith on that gator team.

The Hobert "scandal" breaking took the wind out of the team's sails. Happened right before the Arizona game - UW looked flat and lost that one (first loss since the UCLA game in 90), then ended up losing to Wazzu in a snowy Apple Cup and then UM in the Rose Bowl. It was like a different team after that happened. It's like everyone knew probation was coming and the dream was over.

@@mrog5481 That was really a shame, those teams of 90, 91, 92 we're great teams. And we have never even come close to matching them. Even though we went 11-2 with a Bowl win this season, those early 90s Huskies would have crushed this team.

@@Mr.56GoldtopI saw my first UW game last year in Husky Stadium and it was nice to finally be there with my son. I hope they improve this year. With the 91 defense this year’s team would do well.

Nebraska’s Quarterback situation in 90-92 was absolutely atrocious. It’s amazing they won as many games as they did in that time frame.

Yeah it's actually comical now. Defenders trying not to make it too obvious when they pull up instead of laying a hit. Can't blame them for not wanting to get kicked out for making a good play though. The rugby scrums because no one wants to make the hit and actually stop the ball carrier are amusing as well. Need to just put the flags on them these days and be done with it.

there is a lot more ballhawking now, defenders trying to get the ball loose while tackling. Leads to some fumbles and lots of broken tackles. Amazing how the game has changed though. Used to drive Lombardi crazy when a player tried to scoop up a fumble and didn't just fall on it

Ron Franklin and Gilbert Gottfried were two of the best play callers in college football history. The sow, Holly Row, got Franklin fired from ESPN. Can't stand her.

I miss the days when these two programs were reliably competitive. Washington was on a roll in the late 80s and early 90s but my how things have changed. They do put players in the NFL at a steady clip but they just haven’t had the dominant teams to compete in the top 10-15 like the days of old.

The "touchdown" catch at 19:30 is a joke. Not even close to being a catch and would never stand in today's game. Terrible call.

refs sure had the huskies in this one. guy is out of bounds to pick up a third down before the second husky TD and the third one was a complete joke. ref calls it a TD before he even looks to see if the guy caught it.

As a Husky alum I gotta agree that Nebraska got a raw deal in this game. Even the ESPN announcers Ron Franklin & Gottfried even pretty much said so on the air
