This game was called “Lightening Force” in the US for some reason. I remember renting this game from Blockbuster and how hard it was, but I was impressed by the graphics and soundtrack.

That opening music for the first boss always get me!!!! For me this is the greatest first boss encounter music ever made.

The Fire Leo 04 "Rynex" engine sound effect is one of the most satisfying and badass sound effect of all time.

this looks like an amazing capture from the genesis, lots of 60hz flickering that was recorded perfectly and plays back great on youtube. that is rare. I always loved this game even though I am so bad at it, thankfully it has a cheat code.

Its indeed the easy level, the second stage in maniac you encounter a miniboss right at the beggining, and in this one he didnt.

サンダーフォースIVの、プレイ動画を配信したならば、ハイパーデュエル とブラストウインドの、プレイ動画配信も､しなければいかんでしょう。サンダーフォースシリーズ（VIを除く）だけが、テクノソフトでは、ないんだぜえええええええー（笑）｡
