Thanks Mr. Carlson for these games. I've been looking for the contest between Hall and Archer this year at the Sands Regency. Do you have it?

One of the nicest pro player I ever played, Tom Kennedy. Wish I can smile like that in tournaments. Looking forward playing you again Tommy!

Great comment, JG. And TK's smile lights up any sports arena as bright as the best stadium lights.

Tommy Kennedy "The Juggler" one of the truly nice guys on tour. Couldn't ask for a better ambassador for the game of pocket billiards. Hard to believe this was 24 years ago. I was there and Tommy played great the entire tournament.

Tom K is extremely ill at the moment (summer 2020) from a serious falling injury -- hit google or the AZBilliards (dot com) search function for the facts. hundreds of his friends have a gofundme in process to help with his considerable medical bills.

We know Efren is the GOAT. But there is nobody, NOBODY, has a stroke like Buddy Hall. Smooth, precise, powerful, inhuman. But really Parica vs Hall, Sigel on commentary, God bring me back to the 90s

Not even sure Efren better than Parica. He never really won much in tournments.

Is this the year they played cue ball fouls only?
@mabt4223 Жыл бұрын
that's right, as the commentator said , not much you can do but sit there. pool is a game of the shooter against the table. doesn't matter how good your opponent is, if he's just sitting there, there is nothing he can do about it. it's you vs the table.🙂

I met Tommy Kennedy in 1985 when he came to The Golden Cue in Melbourne, FL...to play Dave Favor and whipped him really bad!! I was 15 at the time.. I met Buddy Hall that same year and he taught me how to play one pocket. I am very lucky and blessed in deed to be able to call both of these "world beating" class act gentlemen my friends. ~Amy Hunter

the eight ball parica missed is not understanding how inside spin works.
@raycarltonbilliards5798 Жыл бұрын
To say he didn't *_understand_* the mechanics of spin is a bit strong and incorrect. Every advanced non-pro (like you and I) knows that not factoring-in the spin is what caused that miss. This level of tournaments (especially televised ones) are pressure situations -- Jose simply rushed and forgot to allow for it. Lapses like that happen to all top pros occasionally -- no exceptions. Jose knew instantly why he missed.
