Today I’m building this 1992 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck kit. This truck is listed as “Easy Build” and I have to agree, it is easy to build. It doesn’t come with an engine but you can add one if you desire. Make sure that you watch this video all the way through if you intend to build your kit with an engine.
I added some extra parts to this build to give it a better look and you really should check out the foil work that I did on this build. It really kicks this truck to the next level!
I hope that you enjoyed watching this video as much as I did building the kit.

Nice. There are no bad kits just bad modelers!

I dunno man, casting flash, and ill fitting pieces can really trash the experience

@@ryurc3033 It's all included in the experience. If there weren't any challenges to building it wouldn't be any fun. It's all about overcoming these with a positive outcome.

This kind of video is greatly appreciated, in that You have shown the ups and downs of the kit at hand. With having done that, You greatly improve the selling points of the kit and who may or may not be able to put the kit together. It is a win win situation for all! Your handling of the foil was masterfully done, My hat is off to You Sir! It was a pleasure to have viewed the video. Thank You for sharing with us here in tubeland. Looking forward to more soon. Take Care, Be Safe and God Bless. Later

Thank You! I try to show the ups and downs in every kit that I build. I do this for the folks that are thinking about buying, or may have already bought, a particular kit so that they can see any potential problems with that kit. Thank you for watching my video.

What 80's kit brands do you prefer? I always liked MPC and Revell for the detail, AMT seemed soft to me, like the Airwolf chopper kit. I found myself shopping by brands I realize now.

Like you, I prefer Revell and MPC kits overall for the detail as well as Monogram, but let's face it... AMT has just about the widest subject matter coverage and they are available almost everywhere. That being said, AMT kits are not always the best kits on the market. I do have a lot of AMT kits that go way back in years and the quality of those kits are way better than what they are producing currently. Since the manufacturing moved to China in the early 2000's, the quality control seems to be lackluster. A few recent kits come to mind that have been very warped and ill fitting. For example, the 1932 Coca-Cola Ford Sedan Delivery, the 1972 GMC Jimmy, and the 1969 Ford Torino Cobra (to name a few), have been the toughest to assemble due to warp. That's not to say that Revell hasn't had a few bad ones as well. For me, I shop by the box art and by what I already have in the stash. Typically, I have about two of everything on average.
