1992 Chevy G20 Conversion

After traveling the country once in a Honda CR-V we decided to turn our 1992 Chevy G20 into a conversion van home and go back out on the road. To be honest the van was beautiful pre conversion, but now it is a more functional and comfortable weekender.
We insulated the walls and ceiling with hemp wool. We also used cork for the floors and cedar planks for the walls. The ceiling is painters canvas wrapped around the original panels.

Sorry never saw this..I do not reccomend as a daily driver.. when I moved into a house. Driving to work became very expensive.

Aquired my 1992 last October... Removed the back seats and bench seats as well and now contemplating the build out. The two things of concern is weight (hence; wood adds up fast) and aerodynamics for efficient gas milage. This intuitive guidance is now being validate with the recent $5+/gal. (and who knows for how long?). What is your current MPG?

Hi! we actually didn't "attach it" just cut the outline relatively snug and then cut and attached the cork flooring.

I have seen a lot of van builds... but why? Why did you tear apart a perfectly fine custom van for that? A stripped down work van would have been just as good and easier because you wouldn't have had to gutted it. It's like ripping a Corvette apart to get a bigger trunk when there are Camaros all around.
