Beautiful guitar and beautiful playing. Touching tribute to another lost human life. Chester was a gracious human being who lost his way. I feel horrible for his 6 children who may never know their father now. Collings guitars rank next to henderson guitars as far as i'm concerned. all are precious works of art. RIP to both gentlemen

Well lookie lookie, a Collings. One of the great builders and this guitar is NO slouch. Big rich sound with plenty of sustain and warmth. Had no idea Bill died. He built amazing instruments and had a great career.

They'll be a lot of people wanting to own this one, if it's you, take it out, PLAY IT PLAY IT PLAY IT, don't keep it in the box, then this would be Bill Collings greatest legacy for raising the bar of acoustic guitar building, and this one is very special. You did it full justice Mark, God Bless You.

Peace..

Bill was at the beginning of the "boutique" guitar boom where many builders started to get recognized for building high end instruments for the "discerning" ear, meaning people with $$$$ to burn. A whole lot of builders did very very well once upon a time. And some to this day. So many choices. It is overwhelming and predictably expensive.

Good guitars play chords so you can clearly hear the chord. Great guitars play chords so you can hear the chord and the individual strings. Even over super crappy youtube sound I can hear the strings and the chord, not to mention the rosewood and spruce interplay. That is an amazing guitar. @GuitarlosCarlos, right on!
