1992 Donegal International Rally

After a tough start to his 1992 Irish Tarmac Rally Championship campaign, Bertie Fisher was looking to turn his fortunes around on the Donegal International Rally. Not his luckiest event, Fisher was initially outpaced by fellow Subaru Legacy driver Kenny McKinstry on the opening day but on Saturday Fisher began to show his class and pull clear with a devastating performance. McKinstry picked up punctures and penalties as he tried in vain to stay with the Ballinamallard driver who was to claim his second win on the event.
