He made some strange decisions Graham Taylor... Ok Lineker came off the bench and scored that's fine but it's a friendly why did you take David Hirst off at halftime?.. Surely he needed experience, Hirst should have signed for Manchester United I'm pretty sure he would have got his respect he couldn't quite get when was play for Sheffield Wednesday for some reason... Back then Hirst was one of the most prolific goal scorers in English football... I think he scored around 60 goals in two seasons... And only got 2 caps? There's something wrong there... The same happened to Kevin Phillips another prolific goal scorer with hardly any caps... Alan Hansen said we don't qualify for 94 World Cup because we didn't have the players but England got to 2 semi-finals in 6 years.. Graham Taylor has to do I take some responsibility for the way he handled things...
