I used to do the same thing lol. I'm in the 1996 Memphis VHS walking down the midway. I was 14 then. Weekend of racing I'll never forget. It was about an 11 hour drive each way for us but was worth it as there was no street style racing at any of our local tracks. But yea I spent better part of my teens grabbing any VHS or DVD with heads up racing. Thanks for jarring a cool memory.

In 1992, I found it very extreme to read that in hot rod magazine and to see the pictures. In Germany !!! America was far away ! Very far away ! Now 2021 to see the video here Is a goosebumps feeling first class ! What is probably become of all 30 years later! I know that some are deceased! By the hot rod mag. That was the first generation of street racing ! Long before murder nova and big chief and co !!!!

This was the greatest time for the NMCA!!! There were some badass street cars back then! Today.... Nah!.. nothing but super high dollar, "pro" built everything!!
