This segment is dedicated to Jorge Santana, who passed away May 14th, 2020. Jorge confirmed this 1992 interview for my son, Adrian. The best job I had was working for the SFO Mission Cultural Center. Jorge facilitated the MCC communication with Carlos and Deborah regarding our funding, special events. The artwork on the set was created by Michael Roman, who also mentored Adrian. As the Exec. Dir. for the MCC, I was commuting from Monterrey to the SFO Mission district. Deborah and Jorge, moved me into their parents home to help with the stress of driving, and plan a "Quinceanera MCC 15th anniversary." My son and I are grateful for the opportunity, education and understanding we received from the Santana family, over the years.
*UCLA-Chicano Studies Research Center Library, will archive (3) Santana concerts and interviews we conducted in Colorado and Arizona.

Thank you for your comments! My son, 16-years at the time, did the interviews and Carlos was so open to share his wisdom. Raul, was so honest because they all knew my focus was advice for young musicians. Thank you for your comments!

Such great interviews! This is the greatness of Santana. No egos getting in the way of the music. The Raul Rekow interview brought tears to my eyes. Carlos and his comrades are always about love and work and positivity and the groove. Viva Santana!

Raul Rekow been was there since the beginning and even until his end. RIP. I wish I was more social when I was stomping around the Mission District, I'd try to meet this cat! He is a knowledgable person.

Thank you for sharing. This is a great interview particularly for the Raul Rekow segment. I had the honor of meeting Raul three times and he was always so warm and genuine. In my opinion Milagro is the album that Carlos Santana always wanted to make un-restrained by the record label. I was working for PolyGram when Milagro was released, and unfortunately Polydor did next to nothing to promote the album in the marketplace. Milagro is absolutely one of the true brilliant gems in the Santana discography 💎💎💎

I can't believe Raul has been dead for 5 years already. He was so full of life in Santana's videos. He always made me smile.

Milagro was Santana 's last masterpiece. Supernatural was that in a commercial way.
