1993-1997 F-150 ignition switch, position issues

The most important thing to do is take pictures, and or video every single step you make.
Get a clean towel or something and lay your parts on them in the order you take them out and don’t let anybody near them.
If you lose something you’re screwed, so hopefully you can go to the junkyard and pull an ignition out of an old vehicle or two. I do not know what years are compatible. 
When I reinstalled the steering column I got the gear in the wrong place so the actuator rod needed to be adjusted.
