I got a few questions. Is there a way to do a conversion from manual deck/attachment lift to a electric lift? Also is that diesel adapter plate that came with it so you can swap a diesel into the GT6000?

I wonder! I have a diesel that would fit that if that were mine!

I have a gt18 and gt6000 just put the two together to make a good tractor. Mine has the indicator light display all working accept the battery light is on all the time dispite 13.5v at the battery. I'm curious if I wired it it wrong unfortunately I didn't have the whole harness from the gt6000 to figure out where the power sensing wire hooks into the charging system. Not many out there and the sensor is NLA

I've heard those GT series had a lot of issues with worn or broken teeth on the sector gear. Had a similar issue with my Deere X570. Cheap parts and flimsy design. Tractor looks pretty good overall...I would highly recommend swapping a KT17 carb onto it, get rid of the Walbro one.

MichaelTJD60 I’ve never had a problem with Walbro carbs in the past, same with this one. A simple cleaning and it runs perfect. The steering components on these tractors are much heavier duty than the later style steering but the problem with these is the plastic collar used instead of a metal one to keep the sector gear bolt in the right position in relation to the steering shaft

dangerous toys56 to my knowledge Onan never had a 22hp engine, biggest they put in this body style tractor was a P220G 20hp. Next size up for Onan was P224G 24hp (never used in a Craftsman of this size). If it's the Craftsman III with the P220G, that's an even rarer tractor only made in 1988. However there was a gt6000 the same color as mine but had the Onan through roughly 1992. By 93 Craftsman stuck with Kohler and Briggs in their tractors
