I owe this video to all the other KZbinrs who all did the hard part, which is figuring out what was wrong, and how to fix it.
So, watch this video here by New Jersey Outdoor Adventures:
• Ford Econoline AC Heat...
I watched a lot of videos before ordering any parts...they're all pretty much the same but this guy's (above) is IMHO the most straightforward and easy to follow. The problem with ALL the videos is they don't show any E-350's as old as mine. This style of van came out in 1992 and so mine is a 1993. There is no video available to show you what exactly to do. Just know, it's the same easy fix as the others...go ahead and order the same parts. But, on a 1992, 93, 94, there is no bracket bolt hole to drill through for the vacume hose to come into the cabin and no room at all to mount the Reservoir up behind the panel, so watch my video and follow my instructions on where to drill a 1/2" hole through the firewall down on the inside passenger side firewall. I used a rubber grommet to protect the vacume hose from chafing on the sheetmetal and to better seal around the opening. Use a little ice pick type tool to manipulate the grommet into place. So the vacume hose in the engine compartment is the same in all the other videos...listen to what I say in my video...they are brittle and will break in half. I broke it twice and so I used all but a foot of my 6 ft x 1/8" vacume hose to replace the broken section of OEM Vacuum Hose and to complete the job. So, figure out which hose exactly in the Engine Compartment is the one to unbundle and bring back to the dog house and connect it to the 1/8" hose...bring that hose through the 1/2" hole in the firewall and then straight up and behind under where the removable panel is located. You'll see where you can feed the hose up over the top there. This is where I cut mine to a comfortable length and made my connection to the black side of the check valve (See other video...same/same)...then connect the other lead to the white side and that goes to the reservoir. The remaining port goes to the OEM hose that you cut down along the passenger side wall all the way down to the front of the floorboard. Thanks for watching.
