I was 13 watching this game. It was the day I became a Seminole fan for life.

Same here buddy. Just turned 44 a week ago. This play locked me down as Nole when I was 13. FSU for life 🤘

I was there! Saw it with these eyes. Great boisterous and swelling noise by the Gator fans as they were mounting a comeback.Then stunned silence. You probably have but have you ever seen a more precisely placed pass? It had to be thrown perfectly and Ward threw it perfectly by way of placement in just a little bit of space it could have been placed in. While Ward was scampering. I remember Coach Bowden speaking about how perfectly that ball was thrown. Them be the days.

Go Noles! It’s so much better to be a Seminole than a gator.

Have been a steadfast 'Nole since my freshman year in hs, 1979, through thick and thin. I'm just hoping and praying that upon the horizon there is a magical, cohesive coaching/player meshing to bring us back to the glory years of the bygone Bowden era. We love and miss you all.

I attended that game and sat three rows up from the field at around the 30 and watched Dunn run right by me, eyes bulging out of his face and his arms and legs looking as if they would rip off his body from their furious pumping...

Always make me laugh whenI see the Gator defensive back coming up to make the tackle and then the two hands in the middle of the back block by Tamarick Vanover that springs the big Dunn run. It's probably Vanover's greatest play as a 'nole. The execution is perfect, stayed with his block the entire time! Vanover's block was the difference maker that changed what would have been a 4th down punt into a game clinching touchdown. Bowden never gave him any credit and the play literally doesn't happen without Vanover's contribution, literally shoves the Gator defender past Dunn, keeping him from making the play. You deserved better, Tamarick! (You can see it at the 13-14 second mark, watch it and tell me Vanover doesn't deserve a game ball for his efforts on the big play!)

Never noticed the block in the back until now. Man, how did the refs miss that?
@mas58672 жыл бұрын
what the hell are you talking about? He was running back to Dunn and Dunn could take two angles, to his back along the sidelines, or in front of him. He knew when Dunn went to his back that he had a FSU receiver behind him that was gonna block him so he had to turn to his his left and circle back. Good NO CALL.

Wow. After all these years, I just saw the block in the back. Oh well. #GoNoles.
@Jagnole1017 жыл бұрын
blackguy2732 gravity would make it impossible for him to have made a play anyways. You could be ticky tacky and call it, but the FSU receiver was moving forward and the Gator defender just stopped in front of him. That would've been chicken shit
