Those 20 something minutes flew by in what felt like 2. I've loved the FD RX-7 from a young age. Absolute dream car for me! One day soon I'll have one of these in my garage.

Would of been cool to see some old pics of the RX7 or the LA scene at that time just because the conversation was about that. This was a really well done video though !! 26 years ownership is incredible.

Dang I couldn’t imagine going back to a twin turbo setup after going with a single turbo setup. My single setup is tooooo much fun!
@SSDMRX7Ай бұрын
You know it's funny I've experienced less complications with the factory turbo setup then I did with a single. Likely because that was a time where I didnt feel comfortable enough to install and tune an aftermarket turbo on my own and was relying heavily on someone else with mediocre knowledge. On the current build I personally took painstaking effort to make sure all vacuum lines, pressure tanks and actuators were rock solid and I know precisely how everything is tuned because I'm the one behind every aspect. I love the low end boost and the ability to just follow the FSM for any issues is always nice.

Thank you appreciate the comment! You can absolutely fit that size with a 30 series sidewall but I always thought it had a bit of the rubber-band on a wheel look, especially in the rear so I try to keep the sidewall at 35 for a bit more beef.

I bought a 96 RX7 FD in 2009 when I was living in Japan for 6k from a dude who was getting stationed back in the US, and needed to sell it quick. It had a bunch of miles on it, and eventually ran into some big problems with the car overheating and coolant exploding after 10 minutes of driving it. It was too much of a pain to try and ship it back when I was getting out, so I gave it away to a friend who had the money to repair it. Sucks too though, because it had a lot of aftermarket parts including some rare dry carbon fiber JDM exterior mods
@mccgarage4 ай бұрын
Wow! What a car that would have been to have back here or at least the parts. Does the friend still have it?
