I really hope we can make it work this time. This track absolutely NEEDS to be a part of this Championship.

Indycar, keep these classic rewinds coming. Always liked to watch Mansell race. Great see milwaukee back on the calendar, like the short track ovals.
@timford3599 Жыл бұрын
IndyCar just isn't IndyCar without ovals of all sizes on the annual schedule. Milwaukee is almost as important as The Indianapolis 500 in terms of historically important venues. I sincerely hope that the crowds will be there to show their appreciation for this wonderful one mile oval. If the crowd size isn't worth the promoter's efforts then the Milwaukee races (2) will go away...again. Take a look at David Land's Channel regarding American Open Wheel Racing's premier series returning to its roots at "The Milwaukee Mile!"

This looks so cool like Iowa this year. Now what is the cheaper airfare Milwaukee or Gateway St. Louis? 2 races is better than one. Does Miiler Coors let you do a beer factory tour anybody know? I love the wide track to allow a 3 wide pass.

Miller Brewing Company used to host a guided tour of the facilities as for back as 1966 when I went with my Dad to see how they bottled "Miller High Life, The Champaign Of Bottles Beers." As he was treated to Milwaukee's Finest, I (at 13 yo) was served an orange soda!

Watching this Indy Car race the way F1 is televised and the way an auto race SHOULD be televised--without commercial breaks--just re-emphasizes how incredibly intrusive and disruptive the constant, endless ad breaks (complete with lead-in and out bumpers) that NBC crams into every race in todays IndyCar broadcasts are. American Indy Car/CART broadcasts have always had ad breaks but today they're to the point they are ruining the product. It's confusing enough to follow with all the crazy pit rules, yellows, mandatory tire compound rules etc.that when you take away so many chunks of action you feels like you have no idea what you're watching (and afterwards, what you've watched.) Watching this race (and the Toronto '89 international broadcast you've posted....maybe there's others) is an entirely different, more cohesive and immersive experience. There's a reason the biggest racing series in the world televises it's product this way...to protect the integrity of the experience. An F1 race with any ads--let alone NBC's nonstop parade--is unimaginable. If a non-ad, full-race coverage subscription option was available I'm sure I'm not the only IndyCar fan who'd gladly buy it to be able to actually SEE a race. To follow a race. To feel like you've actually watched a race. A different announcing team would be more than welcome as well (and something I'd consider part of the value proposition) but that's another topic....
