What an awesome speed machine! In my opinion, the Polaris line up from 1993-1995, had the most beautiful sleds ever made. The STORM, RXL, and XLT Special were absolute eye candy😍

Vmax 4 you mentioned is actually twin pipe, not four. But four cylinders of course. Great video, please continue posting these classic era sleds. These are becoming more and more popular amongst people like me who have lived their teens when these were new.

This video hurts my heart! I was 22 in 93 & we live in a Lake Community, I bought the 750 & had it modified quite a bit. It was stolen a couple yrs later during the summer & I had been irresponsible & let the insurance lapse for the summer, still had payments to make & nothing to show for it. Never recovered! I just lost my Mother (83) 1/2/2023 after a horrific battle with Dementia, may she RIP. My brother-in-law whom I grew up riding with, I introduced him to my sister, were just talking about those days & my stolen sled & how sick it still makes me! I had it pinstriped "Weather The Storm" on the hood. I still look for that thing to this day, although I'm sure it was unrecognizable with days. May she RIP also! Beautiful video! Sub'd!

Great old machines!! I think the term "Hyper sled" was coming out around that same time for the bigger triple and quad motors above 750cc. and muscle sleds were the the usual twins in slightly smaller displacement.

Valdi Thank You for posting. I started snowmobiling with my brother Steve in the early 70s in Pennsylvania then moved out to California. Started snowmobiling again in 2015 in the Sierras. Your videos inform me what I missed in the 60s, late 70s, 80s, and 90s. You are my snowmobile time machine. Kindly Keep it Up. Good Riding for you this Season!!

Hello I purchased an SKS 750 storm brand new... Those Blue springs on your shocks in the front we're not factory.... And you might want to mention that engine came from the water craft division of Polaris... The year that came out on snowcheck we're not delivered to the dealer Network until the first week of December.... Factories explanation was still trying to fit those pipes under the hood... I drove -7800 miles... Very trouble-free machine... But if you blew a belt at top speed watch out it might take your left foot off.... This was a steel cylinder engine... 94-95 where Nick Cacile.... 94-95 also had a recall on getting the porting deburred they had a few issues.

@Mr1Tanker2 жыл бұрын
Sorry... that was not fast for a big triple back then. 650/700cc class machines would do that...my '93 Wildcat 700 would have smoked you (usually only T-Cats beat me from 80 mph on).
@jakey200222 жыл бұрын
We had a 1993 xlt 580 which was piped and clutch . That sled was fast enough back when I was 16 to.18. we always had a 94 Indy 440. That sled would max out around 80 or so. But it was light weight enough. Jumping and riding on rivers were really fun. That engine was bulletproof just like the Indy 500.

Let me tell you why all the stock exhausts are in the dumpster. I had a Storm and changed the pipes to aftermarket SLP pipes in my case. It was like the sled was transformed, it felt like you took a wheelbarrow full of rocks out from under the hood. The stock exhaust was soo bad it had to go.

I remember my uncle letting me take his 1997 Yamaha 700 for a spin when I was probably 12 or 13 years old. Way too much horsepower for an inexperienced rider. Imagine my excitement when I realized it was an American snowmobile, and I was doing 70 MILES an hour, not kilometres.
