Talk about drivers lost around open wheel during next few years. Two time Atlantics champion David Empringham never got a shot in CART or IRL. Claude Bourbonnais got few races at CART in 94 and qualified for Indy in 97.Charles Nearburg got 3 races. Mimmo Schiatarella drove few races in CART and got a shot in F1 driving for Simtek before they folded. Jamie Galles peaked in Trans Am. Kenny Wilden driving sport cars. Jacques Villeneuve only one who made it big with Indy 500 win and champion in CART and Formula 1. Another one made it big outside the track is Zak Brown who is now running McLaren racing operations

The Toyota Atlantic series was wonderful during this era. Never understood how Empringham never got a shot in CART. Bourbonnais broke his neck IIRC and that kind of stalled his career momentum. I really, really enjoyed watching this series from Mid Ohio and Road America. Just fantastic!
