1994-2001 3dr Acura Integra Hatchback Water In Trunk Common Issues

In this video I go over some common issues for leaks in the trunk of your 94-01 Acura integra hatchback.
If anyone has a clue about what the part number is or what the name of that black plug on the passenger side drain channel is please leave a comment.
So I’ve been told that this plug may be the result of a previous owner drilling into the drain channel to do some paint-less dent removal. That would make sense why I haven’t seen anyone else talking about it, but I also don’t see why they would have drilled there in the first place when you can clearly see and access the fender panel behind the black interior trim. god, I purchased an Aussie VTIR Integra and it has a very bad trunk leak. There was so much water when I hit the breaks I didn't even notice the water came in through the boot into the main cabin thanks for this video I'm going to be checking all these spots for leaks :D

That really sucks dude! Good luck figuring it out though, I didn’t notice for DAYS that my trunk was full of water until I stopped at a red light with no music playing on my stereo and I heard a sloshing noise. These are great cars albeit a little finicky

Brett Buxton hey thanks man. My father thinks that to. For my car it’s a bunch of spots antenna, tail lights, hatch drain. Antenna is a replaced Walmart one sucks. But I took the car in the shop today for them to deal with. Cause I can’t deal with the my trunk anymore.

Joel1gamebeast what did the shop end up diagnosing it as? I wouldn’t be able to speak on what it might be as I’ve only ever experienced water in the trunk area and rear seats due to water in the trunk.

GriswoldSmith they said it was my tail lights. Which I knew a bit already since I took them apart to clean them. I was hoping for more spots to be unveiled. But they ordered the part was a gasket. Piece of foam. Not happy how much I payed for it being a piece of foam. Me and my father caulked up the tail lights areas where water would be getting into. Took through the car wash to see if there’s any leaks. Not that I noticed. It rains where I live in Oregon a lot. So I’ll be checking on it. My antenna is a Walmart one. Water could get through it. Need to replace that with the stock one.
