I couldn’t get my strut through when the springs was compress because the compressor hooks got in the way. It was the McPherson’s tool. I need one like the one you used.

All of these vids should stress the danger of compressed springs, keep ya head away from the end of the spring.

Thanks for the video man. Jealous you have the impact driver wrench. I ordered some koni shocks which I'm going to install on my oem ITR springs. This video will help a lot!

A word of warning to anyone that lives in an area where salt is sprayed on the roads. There's a high possibility that the shank of the LCA bolt (especially the one connecting to the strut) is seized onto the bushing sleeve of the LCA. Attempting to loosening the bolt in this state will snap the bolt head. Attempting to heat it with a torch, will likely damage the bushing. Prepare to drop additional money on new LCAs or LCA bushing at least. The old bolts will likely need to be sawed/drilled out if this is the case as well.

Yea I stripped the top nut inside where you use the Allen wrench. It was a pain to get off since it was so rusted.

What the size of the Torx wrench you used at 6:11? Thanks for the video. Ah never mind, it's in the description; 5 mm.
@NutzAboutBolts9 жыл бұрын
pellergin its called an Allen wrench. The Torx you are referring to is a different tool, hopefully that helps :)

+NutzAboutBolts question, i am lowered on aftermarket shock and springs if i replaced the shock would that affect the ride height and the springs?
@NutzAboutBolts9 жыл бұрын
nuocmat no, the shocks should sit on the spring.

I don't know if anybody is going to read this before I try anf fix it, but I just bought a 96 integra and the previous owner fucked it up pretty good, the clutch was disintegrated, but the issue I want to ask about is he also replaced the shocks or struts, idk im not too mechanically minded, but he bent out the forks on the bottom of the struts for some reason, so I was wondering if it would be ok the get some from a pick n pull to replace them?

Hey i have a question what if the lower bolt just keeps spining when i try taking it off
@NutzAboutBolts8 жыл бұрын
what lower bolt?
@Sounga748 жыл бұрын
+NutzAboutBolts the lower bolt to take off the shock off the bottom
@NutzAboutBolts8 жыл бұрын
once you take the nut off, try using a rubber mallet and hit it out, then use a screw driver against the bolt and tape it out that way.
@Sounga748 жыл бұрын
+NutzAboutBolts oh okay , cus im reading online that the lower control arm bolt is hard to take off because the rust
