So many era's in this video. Front springs should cover 1 of the 2 holes in the control arm. Back springs should be clocked to face the drivers side. Some components shouldn't be tightened until there is weight on the car. Just throwing it out there to help the next guy. There is more to it than taking it apart, and slapping it back together. Do your research.Having said that, nice work. :)
@watsonanthony8438
@watsonanthony8438 5 жыл бұрын
Blah you dont have to lower the car to tighten the rear shocks. You can use a jack. The boot pigtail should be a the 6 oclock position point towards the left on both sides

Something that is not mentioned in most videos is that you have to disconnect both sides in the rear at the same time to get the wiggle room to remove the springs; i didn't for the first spring and had to use spring compressors.

He seems to have only replaced springs. You should do cast camber plates when lowering as well as stronger struts and shocks to support that wear. Also bumpsteer for the now low front end. You dont want the road to steer the car, you want full control over it. Bumpsteer bushings for the rack or bumpsteer outer tie rods

@@rogeliosoto6953.. I had to use a small fluid extraction pump that I have to change oil and transmission fluid.. It worked well, but many ppl just use a turkey baster to pull out as much of the fluid as they can.. add clean Mercon V.. Start the car and turn the wheels from full left to right several times to work the air out.. Do this several times till most of the old burnt fluid has been removed.. then remove all the fluid you can from the reservoir and add the Lucas, and work the air out again. It's a pretty simple job, just takes a little time.

GregFio12 absolutely you can. The rear spring removal is the easiest and should take 5 min a side. You have to simply unbolt the rear shock mount to the rear. 15mm bolts. Pry the stock spring out and the new lowering spring will set right in.

Right around that high is about perfect for a mustang this year. Nothing irritates me more than seeing people slam these cars. A 1 inch to a 1.5 inch drop is all you really need to make it look good. On another note why is this person putting so much money and work into just a 6 cylinder mustang? He's got the Cobra chrome wheels, a cobra front bumper conversion and chrome exhaust tips, it just seems like a waste to put all this money into a V6 unless you plan on V8 swapping it.
