This ride was absolutely one of the greatest in thoroughbred history. One Dreamer best multiple grade 1 winners and past champions in this race. Gary Stevens was clearly the equal to Day, Bailey, and McCarron for top rider accolades without having star owner and trainer contracts. He was the epitome of a journeyman: ride for anybody anytime. Understood pace better than anybody. A true superstar among jockeys. Today’s jocks should all be forced to watch this race or Winning Colors Derby to learn how to get a horse, who is not supposed to challenge, but to win. Well done Gary.

Wasn't one of the Greatest rides of all time, greatest longshots of all time. He just got to the lead and bided his time, well timed ride. Didn't have to look for a hole, no traffic, just coasted on the lead

I had this horse with Flanders in the pick 3. All I needed was Megan's Interco or Lure to win the last leg but nope. They didn't show up at all.

Megan’s Interco was clearly a Santa Anita turf horse as evidenced by the multiple 43 second half mile splits. I too wanted Megan to win.

No. She produced foals from notable sires like Storm Cat and Unbridled, with no success. She is 32 years old, still alive and well.
