Wow that 94 LT1 only dynoed 231 hp at the wheels. Thats really low for a LT1 . Must have been running on 6 cylinders lol. My 1993 LT1 M6 Pontiac Formula Firehawk bone stock dynoed 281 rwhp. After Mac mid-lengths headers , 160 thermostat , tune ( PCMforless of NC) she did 309 rwhp on a dynojet dyno. She had 130k. It’s on my channel. RIP Chuck Hansen and Joe Elmore. I used to always watch you both on Horsepower TV back in the day.

@@joshc606 the LT1 engine was underrated just like the LS1. Most of us that have been around the 92-97 LT1s know this. The LT1 Fbody was an ass kicker in her day just like the LS1 Fbody s that followed. Yes they are slow by today’s standards. I have seen alot of LT1s dyno back in the day. Never saw one dyno under 260 at the wheels.

My 2020 Camry still has more power stock than this ride after the bolt ons. We have come so far in a such a short amount of time.

well considering a stock 6 cylinder Camry would probably dyno at around 255-260 it would be close but youre right when you factor in that youre comparing a 6 to an 8. 4 cylinder turbo stock can make more than this car now.

That’s not what a typical 94 LT1 dyno. 231 rwhp is a joke from that engine. I have no idea why it dynoed that low. I had two LT1s at different times. One was a 95 LT1 Formula auto that dynoed 271 at the wheels. Bone stock. Then I had a 1993 Formula Firehawk LT1 M6. Bone stock dynoed. 281 at the wheels. I put Mac mid length headers , 160 thermostat, tune. She dynoed 309 hp at the wheels. Your 2020 Camry V6 was rated at 301 flywheel hp. If you put it on a dyno it with a 18-20 percent parasitic loss she would be in the 240 ish hp range at the wheels. Which isn’t bad for a family sedan. 👍

@@RetroCheater81 it could be if it wasn’t maintained well or maybe it had some cheap no name Opti Spark on it to. My 93 Formula LT1 Firehawk had 130k on it when I finally got to the dyno. Car ran very strong, ran consistent 13.4s @103 mph at Atlanta Dragway back in 2014. Sold it with 145k on her, still running strong.

@@mattspontiacta I have 2020 TRD it’s a fun car to drive. 30 mpg at 80mph and still have the power to pass on the highway makes my commute bearable. I’d like to see what it makes at the wheels. I don’t think it has 20% parasitic loss. They make a supercharger the 2gr-fse that’s in the Tacoma. I wonder if it would fit under the hood in a front wheel drive configuration? 🤔
