95 hp and 790kg .. in 1994 those were really good numbers and one of the fastest cars a working class guy could buy. especially with a couple mods, this would have been a serious competition to other fast cars of the time.

Engine still in good shape despite being heavily used👍 I owned an AX as my first car in the 90s. Light and fun even with only 1100ccm. Great memories!

Geiles Video! Ich hatte in den 90er Jahren einen Citroën Visa GT (GTi hatte den 1.6 Liter Motor aus dem Peugeot 205, gab's aber wegen Abgasvorschriften nicht in der Schweiz). Der hatte den gleichen 1360ccm Motor aber noch mit Doppelvergaser, 80 PS und 108 Nm. Die Werkangabe von 170 km/h ließ sich damit bei günstigen Bedingungen relativ zügig erreichen.

On the autobahn Audi q2 running away, but on the twisty B road the AX will be faster and more fun of course. AX is made for that kind of driving like all hot-hatches of the time, not for autobahn blasting. Regards.

Fun cars! My first was a ax gt, with a solex carbettur. For its time it was fast and gave a good number of cars a run for their money in those days.

Kann man machen, muss man aber nicht. Mein damaliger AX GT (Vergaser ohne Kat 85 PS Baujahr 1988 gefahren von 1992 bis 1995) und mein AX GTI (Einspritzer mit 90 PS Baujahr 1992 gefahren von 1995 bis 1999 - mit AHK!) waren ein Traum auf kurvigen Mittelgebirgsstraßen. Dort machte die kurze Übersetzung (4000 U/min bei 120 km/h im fünften Gang) in Zusammenarbeit mit einem knackigen und höchst fahraktiven Fahrwerk auch Sinn und mächtig Spaß - und das sogar im serienmäßigen Zustand ohne peinliche Tuningmaßnahmen. Da kommt immer wieder ordentlich Wehmut auf! Ich darf aus heutiger Sicht nur nicht mehr darüber nachdenken, wie ein Abflug mit Einschlag in puncto Crashsicherheit hätte enden können. Habe damals einmal durchaus mächtig Glück gehabt bei einem Liftoversteer.

Entschuldigung, könnten Sie mir erklären, steht diese Abkürzung АHK für Aktiv Hinterachs Kynematik? Wie genau funktionierte das System? Ich bin ein Fan dieser sportlichen Klasse von Stadtautos. Ich habe ernsthafte Erfahrungen mit dem Fiesta XR2 Baujahr 1986, mit Vergaser und 96 PS. Vielen Dank für Ihre Antwort im Voraus!

@@GeorgiPenchev-pc9et AHK ist die in Deutschland übliche Abkürzung für Anhängerkupplung. Der Vorbesitzer, ein KFZ-Aufbereiter, benutzte einen kleinen ungebremsten Anhänger zum Transport seiner Arbeitsutensilien. Ich habe einmal zum Spaß einen leeren Tandemanhänger mit ca. 600 kg Leergewicht.gezogen. Auch hier: Kann man machen muss man aber nicht.

Yo tube un gt bajado de suspensión colectores iresa y tramo recto de escape con silencioso PECO y en bajada 205km/h, llaneando rozaba los 200km/h corria un poco mas y el 0 a 100 ganaba a los 5 turbo, luego compre un saxo vts 16v y lo puse a 235km/h me salieron buenos jeje😂

Shift just after 7K and it'll stay in it's powerband (above 5). The rev limiter is at 7250. Edit: This is not stock, it probably has the final drive (or complete gearbox because they are the same except for final drive) of a 106 Rallye (pre-'94, the 1.4).

@@rofufojatuve un GT de 85cv de carburación. Anunciaba un 0-100 en 9,3 segundos. No sé si lo haría en eso, pero sobre 9,5 seguro que sí. Un Renault Laguna coupé dci de 150cv que tuve después no era más rápido, y un MX 5 de 110cv que tengo ahora, tampoco lo es.

There is something strange there the top speed of the Audi Q 2 is between 197 and 218 kms/h depending to the engine and the maximum speed of the Citroën, according to GPS, 194. How the Audi could so easily escape the gti with such a little difference of top speed?

My Ducato van, on the German autobahn reached 184 km/h data from the GPS 😂 I think I can keep up with this wreck of a car. And for those who say: ah but in the 90s... NO, there was no competition with other hot hatches, it was just a car suitable for those who wanted to spend little. And aesthetically it has always been awful.
