1994 February - Dombarton

Poor video quality. Originally transferred from Mini 8 Video to VHS via analogue enhancer in 1994. The VHS had considerably deteriorated over time.
Over the weekend of 12 and 13 February 1994 the main southern line was closed diverting all Main South rail traffic to operate via the Illawarra escarpment line which connects Moss Vale and Unanderra.
Camped alongside the line from late Friday evening to Sunday lunch time, this video depicts all rail traffic.
I cannot recall was how CountryLink services were delivered.
I know at a point in time the Sydney Melbourne XPT has traversed the line during such main south closedowns, however for this weekend my assumption all CountryLink services would have commenced and terminated at Moss Vale, with passengers transferring to busses for Sydney.
