All of those older Japanese sedans are gorgeous. This, Chasers, Laurels (I don’t know if that’s the actual name or not), and many others. And the VIP look fits all of them for some reason, like it was made to be lower with big shiny wheels.

the Q45 and cima are so often looked over. but in their time , and still , they put out work people definitely don't expect. the best upgrade for them is a manual swap , the components relieve the engine of so much parasitic loss , and the engine revs so much differently . in 89 when the VH was released from infiniti , it was remarkably ahead of its time . dohc , 6 bolt main , forged bottom end , 32v , and substantially underrated from factory . mine made 317hp after just the manual swap . unfortunate aftermarket support is/was so limited. the recing heritage is also impressive in the VHR racing engines.

Tech, comfort, and ride/power delivery. Is preferred by myself over many modern, especially American cars... driver experience is easily 9/10 I love my Y32 Cima

the bodylines are perfect, it is cute. not like lexus where it all blingtrying to be mercs. this thing has stance, the next lexus LS400. please review more JDM VIP cars or rare JDM cars.

transverse v8 but rwd?? interesting. Chevy did something like that with the Monte Carlo SS but it was fwd what do you think about this v. a Celsior?

its not transverse , that's just the intake and its 9 piece runners confusing you , tis mounted in standard fashion . can see the heads are running front to rear as usual , the intake plenum and lower 8 runners snake around , its similar to the old Ford / Yamaha SHO engine intake . ( though the SHO was FWD. but in manner of assembly ).

@@twistymcslide2 wow I've never seen that before at least it looks cool. so for each side the outermost two feed the front and back cyls, with the inner two going to the center two cyls on that side of the V?. I'd like to see that manifold/intake design!

@@papa_pt no . left runners feed left bank , right feed right . they all kinda S turn from head to upper plenum . maybe search google for Q45 upper plenum from an 89-96 VH45de . youll see pics of the upper plenum design , and how once removed , the lower 8 runners go to each cylinder. some have modified their intake set up to make use of the Porsche cayman , or cayenne , i forget, but its upper plenum , can also build a plate adapter to suit superchargers. or cut the opposite side of the intake plenum where the oem throttle body is , and add another throttle body assembly. theirs an old R31 skyline TT that has done that . its a great engine , though id not suggest it to anyone because of the intricateness ( its 2 SR20's basically paired to a V8 ) .and little aftermarket support . kinda for a DIY selfer. did love mine though , i had it in a S13 hatch from 2005 to 2013 or so when i sold the car. some shit videos on my channel . also a video of it called : the 450sx . was red originally . then painted a battleship grey/blue. .
